Little Brother Coffee & Kolaches is a coffee shop in Austin, Texas. It is listed at 1512 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704, which places it among the local businesses of Austin that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–12 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (512) 305-3133. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, littlebrotherbar.com.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My favorite place in Austin to get coffee it’s really close to my office and the guys and gals that work. There are super friendly. The thing I like most is the coffee that they use is fantastic. I buy it and use it in my own machine at home little brother coffee is fantastic. I encourage anyone to go to the little brother coffee on South Congress and try super awesome latte. Great people watching too from the little table they have on the sidewalk

I found this when I was looking for someplace a little different to get my morning latte. And it *is* different -- it's inside Maufrais, and it serves customers through a window when Maufrais is closed! The guy on bar was really, really nice! I got a hot 16 oz. triple caramel latte, and it was delicious. (One of my pet peeves is coffee bars that will only do a 12 oz. hot latte, not a 16 oz., but this ain't that.) I also got two kolaches, which were yummy. Service was pretty fast, considering that one guy had to take all the orders and also make all the drinks. Parking at 9:00 a.m., when the stores on Congress aren't open yet, was cinchy (yes, you're supposed to pay, but Park ATX has a code to park for free for 15 minutes). There were a couple of small tables in case you wanted to eat and/or drink on premises. I'm adding this to my short list of regular coffee places.

Little Brother Coffee & Kolaches is a tiny, to-go coffee spot, with just one small table outside, making it more of a grab-and-go location rather than a sit-down cafΓ©. The service window opens onto the street, and on the other side, it connects to a hat shop, which adds to the quirky charm of the space. While there are no seating options inside, the setup creates a unique atmosphere, making it feel like an integrated part of the store. They serve all the essential coffee drinks, and as the name suggests, their kolaches are a standout feature. We tried the spinach and cheese kolache, and it was excellentβ€”generously filled, with a thin, well-balanced dough that doesn’t overpower the filling. The pastry stays flat rather than puffing up, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to shine. This place is perfect for a quick morning stopβ€”grab a solid cup of coffee, a kolache, and get on with your day. The convenience, quality, and unique setup make it a great find for those who appreciate a well-made to-go breakfast.

Must try cookies!!!! I’ve been on the hunt for delicious chocolate chip cookies in Austin and i finally found one. The dough had lots of flavour, every bite is filled with high quality chocolate chip and the salted top elevates the flavours. Will definitely be back πŸͺ

Small, but mighty. Friendly service - come early, kolaches go fast. This is about as local as it gets, as the baked fare comes from Better Half just a hop, skip, and jump up the road and over the river. Perfect for stopping by during a South Congress stroll, on a weekday you've forgotten to eat breakfast. πŸ‘
